Jacques Villeglé was a painter and visual artist born in Quimper in 1926. For 60 years, Jacques Villeglé has continued his quest for urban waste, in the streets of Paris, in Brittany, in the South of France to Buenos Aires.
A member of the new realism group alongside Klein, Cesar, Hains, Arman, this artist abandoned the imagination of the abstract expressionist to plunge you into a contemporary world.
Jacques Villeglé denounced consumer society, chain production, factories. He played with the signs in the same way that lacerated posters tell the story ("The lacerated poster is not an object of consumption, it is something quite different. she has a story ")
