On the occasion of TEFAF 2026, to be held in Maastricht, we are pleased to present a solo show of Sam Francis, bringing together a selection of emblematic works that illustrate the different periods of his career. A major figure of postwar abstraction, Sam Francis developed a singular pictorial language characterized by a constant exploration of color, space, and gesture, nourished by his travels and by a sustained dialogue with both Western and Eastern artistic traditions. This presentation highlights the richness and coherence of his artistic trajectory while underscoring the lasting influence of his work on the history of modern and contemporary art.
